Our Eco Lodges are unique in that they are booked exclusively, which means that no other groups will be booked in your property at the same time. This allows your party to customise your trip according to your tastes. Guests have exclusive access to visit the orphaned elephants at the Reintegration Unit located nearby.
Catering & Staffing:
Each property is self-catering, which allows you to feel at home and customise your trip according to your tastes. Guests are responsible for bringing their own groceries for the duration of their stay, along with any other essentials they might need. Our friendly, knowledgeable team will take care of you during your stay, including turn-down, cleaning, laundry, and food and drink service, while our resident chef prepares all your meals.
Orphan Visits:
To stay at the Ithumba or Umani Springs properties, guests are required to be a current foster parent to one of the orphans in our care. Guests at Galdessa need only be a foster parent if they wish to visit the Voi reintegration unit. Each SWT property is located near a corresponding Reintegration Unit, where guests have the opportunity to visit the orphaned elephants that are cared for there. Umani Springs and Ithumba are both a 10-minute drive to their respective Reintegration Units; Galdessa is a scenic one-hour game drive to Voi. Visits to the Reintegration Unit follow a schedule as dictated the daily routine of the orphans.
